Meet Meegan
Meegan Zickus is running for the Michigan House because she believes public service is about solving problems, helping people, and strengthening communities—not partisan politics.Her motivation is rooted in both personal experience and a lifetime of service. Meegan and her husband, Charles, have raised three daughters in Allendale, including one through an open adoption. For 25 years, their family cared for Meegan's grandmother-in-law in their home through aging, illness, and hospice care.Since 2010, Meegan has lived with Necrotizing Autoimmune Myopathy, a rare autoimmune disease, and has experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating a complex healthcare system. These experiences deepened her understanding of the importance of strong families, accessible healthcare, and compassionate public policy.
